More than just play

Immerse Drama incursions for primary schools across Victoria are about more than just play. They incorporate health, social and emotional wellbeing, cognitive thinking, literacy, and communication through:

Weekly Sessions

We can provide a drama specialist to your school on a weekly basis, exploring different themes and drama techniques each week, working towards end-of-term performances. This can be during school, as an extracurricular activity, at lunch, or after school. options for this can be funded by the school or paid for by parents.

Single Incursions

Are you looking for one off session to boost creativity in your center or school, then we can make this work for you! This can be a 60 minute workshop or half to full day sessions leading to performance outcomes. 

This also is a great way to try out our sessions and see if it something that you may want to introduce regularly.

3 - 6 week explorations

When 1 class just isn’t enough!

We can deliver on a weekly basis to explore a particular theme or topic, this can then result in a final performance for the students to showcase their new understanding and talents for drama!

Our 4 C signature workshop works well for this model, each week, we explore one of our 4 aims. Communication, Collaboration, Creativity, and Confidence.  and then 2 additional sessions to devise a performance on the final week. with a stage set and fun props and costumes, to ignite their creative talents!

Performance Workshops

We deliver a theme or story workshop, then practice by either following narration for the younger ones, or working as an ensemble to devise a  performance in either a half or full day.

These sessions can focus on any themes or inquiries you may be following, allowing students to delve into devising original work, in which they can explore and develop their ideas and opinions in a creative way.

Our drama sessions, provide a sensory, memorable experience, that engages students in being present, developing empathy, and knowing everyone has a part to play. Choose from one of signature incursions based around our 4 Aims, or have all 4 in an extended session.

Each of these and they can be from a 60 min to full day session. These can be adapted to work on ANY theme/story to suit your needs.

We recommend our 6 -session “Immerse me “ package provides a well-rounded exploration of actor performance and devising techniques, and the skills needed to work as an ensemble to create and produce a final product. These are transferrable life skills to any industry, and an invaluable lesson.

A fun workshop, exploring how we use our bodies and voices in drama to express our emotions. Finishing with presenting scene work that shows our understanding of how we show emotions in character.

The children learn to read and explore text. This can be from a variety of sources from monologues to poetry to script work. Exploring text directions and developing our actor brains to lift words from the page and create engaging performances.

Exploring Physical Theatre and Mime, The children learn to create movement pieces from a variety of stimuli, working in pairs and groups, they learn to create movement phrases in unison, canon, and in sequence.

The children learn different ways in how our bodies and voices can be explored and what is unique to us? What characters do we like to play, how do we create them, what do they have to say? Time to take your moment in the spotlight
